Bosch e15 water error sms69L22gb/44

I’ve just moved and put a standalone dishwasher in. The first one was quite an old one and didn’t seem to pump out when connected – I presumed that it was a combination of the age and a drain pipe that seems to run about 2 feet horizonatally.

So I replaced it by a nearly new sms69L22gb/44 that some friends kindly gave us because of a fitted one installed at their new house.

It seemed to run through a whole cycle OK, but now is giving an E15 error message. I have tried tipping it back 45 as some seem to suggest, but it is still giving the error message. Its sounds like the pump is still going, and the only way of turning it off is at the mains.

Any ideas please?

Does the drain hose connect to a spigot or does it go into a standpipe? If a spigot there may be a blanking cap or blockage in it
