ParticipantI have a Bosch Excel SGS56E02GB/45 which is 2 and a half years old and out of guarantee. It had been playing up for a short while requiring a reset to initiate a wash cycle but then just stopped working.
A cycle starts OK, dishwasher fills with water it gurgles for a minute or two and then stops although the timer countinues to count down. If I reset the dishwasher a volume of water (half a bucket) is pumped out again.
I have checked the spray arms, filter and and the pump all of which seem to be fine.Any ideas? Can I investigate further? A cursory glance at the rear and below did not show any obvious access to the inner workings!
The dishwasher has also had the 1min to go syndrome (but not always). Don’t know if that’s connected.
Any help much appreciated

Sounds like the pump’s not running – have you got circulation?

I don’t have water running through the spray arms -is this what you mean by circulation?

Yes. The fill part is a two stage affair – first fill trips the level sensor and starts the motor. Suction from the motor causes the level to drop and initiates the second fill (with circulation).
So……. stuck/jammed/failed circulation pump or start/run capacitor failed. Possibly electronics, but that would be unusual.
Engineer time? Click the link below.
Power off if investigating further.

Sounds to me like a siezed wash impellor. Either unjam or new impellor kit.
New impellor kit isn’t DIY.
