    hi
My Bosch Excell was tripping the circuit breaker. Reset a couple of times and now it’s not coming on at all. No display but I did hear a bit of pump before it stopped completely. Tested with new fuse. I’ve found a leak in the bottom, near the pump. I can fix that OK but I’m trying to determine which part has failed, and I’m suspecting a main circuit board problem. No blackening but is there anyway I can test if it has failed with a multimeter? Or are there any likely candidates? I’m thinking it’s a call out job but would like to try some more avenues first.

    Thanks
    Elliot.

Computer says no to that model number you gave by the way. Are you in the UK?

Here’s a different number on it, sgs46e28gb. Bought in Newry.

That’s a different beast altogether, the first number you gave was a model for the USA market, very odd?

A multimeter ain’t much use I would suggest. The heater would need testing, preferably with an insulation tester. Water in the base can cause main pump problems with the motor windings. But to put your mind at rest, the main circuit board would NOT be an issue regarding blowing fuses/trip switch. There’s more to this than any multimeter will locate. Best call out a local independent expert and get it sorted.
