ParticipantHi,
I have the above and it wont spin.
I have stripped the motor right down and gently cleaned the comm.
I have replaced the brushes and made sure the are the correct way round- the old ones were well worn down.
I have checked continuity across the 6 motor connection pins and they were very similar to a previous posters readings, so I am assuming mine is ok
I have checked continuity across what looks like a little thermal trip out.
The motor has had a thorugh clean and blow out too.I put it on to ‘spin’ it makes the usual noise for a minute or so but the motor doesn’t even try and spin. I have carefully tried to give it nudge to start but nothing happens.
We are desperate as we have 3 boys!
Any ideas before the Mrs buys a new one?
Anyone in teh Derby area could take a look?January 31, 2010 at 9:37 pm #310578CJAPeterborough

I have been having some of my own motor problems….as posted earlier.
What is your resistance across the two brushes -are you getting a good
contact? You should also check continuity of the plug wiring -the motor plug can
loose a connection fairly easily.January 31, 2010 at 9:51 pm #310579bazza500

One thing to remember on Bosch washing machines is that when selected on spin cycle the motor can take up to a minute before it starts to rotate.
So you may have fixed the problem but not given it a chance to spin.
You should hear a definite “click” from the board just before it starts to turn.

I tested continuity across the brushes & it was good, can’t recall the exact readings.
The motor connection plug has been inspected & tested out good.
I have given the motor plenty of time to start. When I set it to spin the 11 min timer starts. It will normally start the spin after a min or so, but it never does. After a few mins the digital timer drops to 1 min then zero.
Unfortunately I’ve had to buy a new machine as times got the better of me and with 3 boys & a dirty wife (I wish!) we have become desperate to get the laundry done.
Thanks for your help & suggestions guysDecember 28, 2011 at 12:48 pm #310581budha7

I appreciate this is an old thread, but it kept getting thrown up while i was searching for a fix.
I had this exact problem, i changed the brushes and they worked… but not at first.I just would like to add this in case anybody else is stressing!
I fitted the new brushes, re fitted the motor and tested the machine, it still did not work. so I removed the motor again to check everything. It turned out that there was a miniscule piece of dirt in the brush housing which was not allowing the brush to have full contact with the commutator. I could see there was no contact by looking down the side of the motor. I removed the brush, blew out the debris and refitted it. On refitting i noticed that the copper cable had started to fray. I removed the brush, re soldered the wire and replaced everything. Tested the machine and now everything works fine.
1. check you have contact between brush and commutator
2. be careful with the brush, they do fray relatively easilyJust for the record, i ordered the parts from UKwhitegoods on 23rd december and they arrived the next day! awesome!

Can anyone tell me how old these machines would be ?
my daughter has a WF02264GB and while it works ok it makes a nasty noise in the drum when it stops spinning and if you manually turn the drumis it worth trying to fix it

It’s hard to define what your interpretation of “a nasty noise” is? 4 options could be : –
1) A squeak could be the rubber drive belt
2) A scraping noise could be a wired bra stuck between the tub and drum
3) A low frequency rumbling noise would be drum bearings wanting replacing
4) A groaning noise could be the grey rubber door seal rubbing the drumJuly 17, 2014 at 11:03 am #310584diyisgreat
ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel 1100 Express – WFO2265GB wont spin
Sounds like it could be bra wire
its as if the outer surface of the drum is grating on the casing
drive belt seems fine
rubber door seal is tatty at the top but maybe thats where a bra wire worked through ……………if i remove the rubber door seal will i be able to tell /find the object because something was creating the black grit that came out of pump -
