My Bosch Exxcel 1200 (WFO 2464 GB/01) has stopped spinning and perusal of these pages lead me to believe it’s probably worn bushes. Unfortunately I’m not sure how to get to the motor to check! 😳

I’ve taken the top off (easy), and the rear cover plate (even easier) and that’s it. Do I need to tip the unit over 😯 to get at it from below or can I get to it from the front? If so how do I go about removing the front panel etc?

Sorry for being a biff but this doesn’t seem to be immediately obvious…

    😳

Plug out….. Lean the machine to one side, preferably the right. Undo the two 10mm bolts at the back end of the motor (Don’t try and do this through the back panel – you’ll cut your wrists to pieces). Pull motor plug, big screwdriver and lever off against the tub lugs.

Thanks for the quick response. Did it all this morning – got the bushes from a local electrical shop and got it sorted in no time. Was surprised at how easy it all was!

    Thanks again 😀
