Bosch Exxcel 1200 Model WAE 24465 Fault Code F:18

I keep getting the F:18 fault code come up on my machine. We’ve cleaned out the detergent solution pump as per the instructions and have shone a torch in and there doens’ appear to be anything stuck in there.

The machine washed another 3 loads and the fault code has reappeared so we repeated the process and again after another couple of loads the fault has reappeared.

Please help…. Any ideas would be welcome!!

Have you checked the drain hose….especially if its connected to a sink waste pipe. F18 is no draining…or slow draining so a blockage in that area is a big possibility

Yes I have checked the drain hose and everything is ok.

I think it may be something to do with the motor?? as it doesn’t make the sounds it should when you put it on a drain cycle – its as if nothing is working…

Sounds like a problem with the drain pump.
It has either packed in or the paddle on the pump has come adrift, hence pump runs but dose not push out the water.

Remember to unplug your machine before toutching anything. 😉

Thanks John for the advice. We took and stripped the drain pump out, cleaned it all and put machine back together but still had the same fault. So managed to find a replacement pump on ebay for a quarter of the price Bosch wanted, it arrived next day, we fitted it and now all is well with the machine!
