I have a Bosch Exxcel 1400 Express model number WFX2868GB which yesterday deposited a generous amount of dirty water over the kitchen floor during a wash cycle. The water appeared to come from within the machine.
After ensuring the water was drained from the machine and the pool of water removed from sitting on the baseplate, I removed the cold fill and turned the Washer on its side removed the baseplate and then removed the drainage hoses to inspect them for damage.
Other than being a little dirty there didn’t seem to be much of a problem with them.

I’ve put them back on, reconnected and turned on the cold fill and tried to start a basic rinse program to see if I can locate the source of the leak.

However the washer will not start a cycle. When I switch on a program, the pump starts up and the display shows the spin speed alternating between 800/1200 and the drum does not move.

I still have the covers off.

Do I need to replace the covers for this machine to properly operate or am I missing something else?

    Any ideas??

Could tipping this over have dislodged worn brushes in the motor and hence it’s failure to start the motor up now or is there some other safeguards I could have upset by tipping it up.
I’ve not managed to work out why it would spin before tipping up and now doesn’t want to know. Anyone seen this before on any unit??
