Looking at the rubber seal that abuts the door when it is closed, there is an approx. 5cm section of the rubber ‘flange’ (which presses against the door when closed) missing – it appears to have been torn off, probably when a large bundle of washing has been either stuffed or pulled out. The result is that on any major wash programme, the floor of our utility room gets flooded.
Is this indeed the likely cause, and if so, what replacement part do I need to order, and can I fit it myself or should I call out an engineer?
Many thanks in advance.
