Bosch Exxcel Aquastar – E:24 error drain route is clear

Hi,

our Bosch SMS63E12GB/01 Exxcel Aquastar

Gives the E:24 error after 3 minutes into a cycle.

I removed the pump and cleaned, plus checked pipe which is clear.

Running again the same error persists.

Could the drain motor be faulty or other issue

in a word yes. on this model they sense the current drawn by the pump motor to detect if its empty. so if the pump is worn it draws more current and fools the electronics
