Bosch Exxcel Not spinning

Hi all, (WFX3267gb Bosch Exxcel 1600 Express)

My Washers not spinning and i have already tried new carbon brushes. The machine does everything else but refuses to spin. I new the washer was on the way to a break down before it happened because when it would spin it also made granular sparking sounds (if that makes sense)

Like i say i changed out the bushes but the ones i took out were 1/2 the size of the new ones so perhaps that’s a clue to suggest their was nothing wrong with the bushes in the first place?

Other things iv tried include cleaning the filter, and kicking the side of the washer

Any ideas?

Edit: i forgot to mention no error codes are displayed either

Check the commutator for loose or raised segments. Any that are a difference colour to the rest also. If those symptoms are apparent then the motor needs replacing. 🙁
