Bosch Exxcel SGS4442GB/01 Tablet Dispenser Door

Hi Guys,

I have a problem in that the “Tablet dispenser” door will not stay closed, its been getting worse for some time, so i have ordered the parts which arrived today.

I bought both a new sliding door and a new latch complete with spring, the existing blue plastic latch looks really worn, when compared to the new one

My problem is i can’t see how to get the dispenser door off the slides and there is also the tricky spring which opens the door when released by the latch,

Second problem, i’ve worked out how to remove the door carcass and I can see the internal end of the latch, but cannot see any obvious way of removing the latch, The plastic leaver the latch goes through does not look very strong and i’m worried i may break something else

Is it just a simple job of knocking the old latch through with a fine screwdriver or similar, or do you have to try and release the three prongs which seem to retain the old latch ?

Easiest way is to replace the complete dispenser as a unit, part number 490467, a little more in cost but a lot quicker 🙂
