    Hi

My dishwasher has recently started occasionally blowing the plug fuse. Last time it blew with 5 mins to go on the cycle. When I replaced the fuse as soon as I plugged it back in there was a loud bang…

After a bit of digging around on here I have taken the right side off and have been looking for soot around where the mains power comes in. Where the power comes in looks fine, however if I follow the neutral wire to the next component a square block – capacitor(??) I see soot around it – what is this bit and how on earth do you access it to replace it?

    All help very gratefully received

    Yours hopefully
    Kate

as you said in the title its a suppressor,
there may be a plate at the back which clips on where you can access it failing that skin you knuckles from the side panel just make sure the plug is out.

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS66A02GB/20 – Suppressor blown? Access!

    Hi again,

Thanks for the reply. Sadly there’s no access plate to remove. I can see 4 little brown clips poking through to the back – I assume they secure the suppressor to the back of the machine together with a screw above it?

I can’t really see how you can access the area enough to get it in/out – any words of wisdom anyone?

    Thanks
    Kate
