The machine tripped the main supply RCD while running and now, after resetting the RCD, won’t do anything – no display and the bottom is full of greasy water. It hadn’t got as far as dispensing the powder when the fault occurred.
There is power to the main switch and to the controller. I suspect the controller is dead but am concerned that something else is wrong as well and it might do the same to a new controller.
Are there any checks I can do before changing the controller?

    Thanks
    Rob

Element and main board are a possibilty. Unlikely to get any change out of £250. Worth getting someone to check it out.

    Thanks.
There are burn marks on one of the controller PCBs (around the voltage regulator IC and one of the relays – so it is definitely dead!
I have checked the heater and it seems OK – about 20 ohms and no leakage to earth (measured with a multimeter, I’ll check again with an insulation resistance tester).

I tested all of the major components for electrical faults and found nothing, so I bit the bullet and got the controller repaired by QER for £55.

    The machine now works perfectly!
