    Hi Guys,

general question about above washer/dryer. Machine is just a year old and customer uses dryer steady because of disabled elderly husband. She always uses the autodry setting and has had no problems up until recently. She says steam vents out from drawer front which she has not noticed before, and sometimes clothes are still damp. The machine is clear of any blockages and valve for condenser is working. Clothes are spun at 1200 setting before drying. Is there supposed to be steam venting from drawer?
    Any other ideas?

Well you have the advantage of us Alan in that you haven’t given the actual model number of the machine? 🙁

Bearing in mind also that the machine carries a full 2 year warranty. 😉

At a guess I would suspect a water inlet problem firstly? Followed by problems with the pump maybe?

I think these have a condenser plate in the tank which if “gunged up” machine wont dry properly, might be worth asking the customer to do a few boil washes with a rag and detergent to try and flush through and also make sure shes only washing 1/2 a load, hope that helps,Dan

Two things normally cause steam from drawer on Drying. Both mentioned above

    Blocked condensor box

Faulty inlet valve ( condensor )

    Hi Guys,

thanks for the replies. I am aware of the guarantee on the machine and have informed the customer. She is quite old and always calls on me first if she has a problem. I suspect there could be build up of gunge on the plate mentioned as she nearly always does the 15 minute quick wash which I think is 30 degrees. Condenser valve is working ok, and the pump.
