ParticipantHello, can anyone help with this one, the machine runs through the whole wash. The wash time indicator counts down to 7mins remaining then skips to 1 min remaining without picking up into high speed spin.
I was originally called out because the machine did not spin and still had water in the drum when I tried to drain the machine the pump was not working, so replaced the pump.
However the next wash the machine again did not spin but this time it had drained completely but did as above.
I assumed the module may be faulty so sent it to QER to test but they say no fault found (that said when I spoke to them before hand they had not tested/repaired this particular module before). So I am still not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure if the board is faulty or not and a new one from Bosch is 106 quid (a bit of an expensive guess!!)
Please help. 😕February 7, 2008 at 10:31 pm #242583gegsy

Hi
May be carbon track over on motor and/or low brushes; worth a try first 😉
Have had two in the past, one was module, other was motor :rolls:Greg

I remember a similiar fault on it’s Siemens sister washing machine. The motor was faulty even though it washed ok etc. If the brushes are ok it’s the motor.

Thanks Gegsy & Micky,
I checked the brushes the first time I called out and they were ok. I think I’ll see if I have a motor in the work shop that I can plug in and try before I order a new module.
Thanks again.February 10, 2008 at 7:57 pm #242586Martin

Another thing you could try Nelson is to strip the motor, give the whole unit a darn good flush out with WD40 to clear away all the carbon dust (as Greg mentioned 😉 ). Clean up the commutator with a bedding stick and try it again? If that fails and you reckon the Module checks out OK? Then the motor is a duff’un 🙁
HTH?

I think he means a comm stick. The nurse has given him the wrong tablets again.
