ParticipantI am struggling to repair the Bosch which has the common problem referred to in these forums caused by the door sensor failing apparently. The compressor runs perfectly and cools down the system but then will not switch back on until the mains is off for about an hour or more. I need to understand how to remove the cover of the control panel above the door and how to rewire the control box.
I realise this has been covered in the past but would be grateful for any help offered. It is a lousy time to be replacing a fridge freezer that is possibly not really defunct. Thanks

Lots of info.S.Thanks for the prompt reply! I have been on this for a couple of days and checked all the (above) posts out. I need more detailed info please and/or a wiring diagram as I cannot even see how to remove the cover above the door where the controls are. There are two screws but undoing them does not seem to free the cover. The machine works perfectly once the compressor has started up.
Many thanks

Fascia has 3 clips on top which need lifting where it meets cabinet. That should release it when pulled forward.
Unplug power first.

S.This Bosch does not seem to be exactly the same as the machine described in the advice published. There are several small clips holding on the top panel cover. Once it’s off, you can see the circuit board behind the panel, with the various buttons etc protruding throiugh to the front face. On the right hand side of the board(as you face the fridge) two wires go to the power switch and three wires go to the circuit board. One of the wires seems much thinner than the other two. None of the wires is blue (brown and black). Is this another version of the Bosch which defies repair?

Can anyone tell me the number for the modification kit for this Bosch FF model please? The problem is apparently a sensor that doesn’t allow the compressor to restart after its idle period. The FF works as expected until the compressor stops when the applaince reaches its optimum temperature.
I am having the same problem as lots of other posters. (been having it periodically over 2-3 years, but now it seems permanent and can’t trust the appliance.
I’ve noticed that different posters have different wiring on their PCBs which makes it confusing, so I would love to have a definitive answer.
I live in France so it would be ‘difficult’ for an engineer to visit! (the FF was bought in Uk and brought to France when we moved here). If this post fails to get an answer I’ll have to gird the old loins and try the French help line. Thanks in hope
