ParticipantHi all.
New to the forum here and have found useful info
With the Bosch the bottom of freezer is Icing up every 2 weeks or soI have checked there is no water in the tray the bottom rear of freezer, however there is water right to the top of the pipe over the tray…it doesn’t appear to be blocked, I pushed a flexi cable as far as it would go
I have taken off the back panel in the inside of the freezer, the fan is NOT turning, and is not seized.
I measured with a meter, there is no AC mains present to the fan, only 400mV DC…does this mean a knackered PCB… ❓ if so where is it and what checks can make there with a meter or otherwise and any useful tips would be appreciated….Thanks

DO NOT CARRY OUT ANY FURTHER LIVE TESTING, PLEASE!!!!
I very much doubt it has anything to do with the fan at all. To be honest it’s probably best to contact an engineer. See the big red toolbox on the left.

Am I correct in thinking that you will only see voltage to the fan if the door switch is depressed?

Its ok, I have experience working with mains, and am taking relevant precautions…..Don’t know if the mains is only present when the door switch is pressed…will be checking that this W/E

Dil, I don’t doubt your experience working with mains, however, this is a public forum and as Boro rightly said, we cannot advise live testing for that reason.
