ParticipantWe have one of these with same symptoms as other models where the wiring mod is carried out to cure temp sensor problems. On contact to BSH A/Care were told there is not a wiring mod to this unit, so changed the pcb but problem has returned. Can anyone comfirm that this unit does not have a wiring mod to the pcb ( it does have more connectors than the other fridge freezers which we have repaired successfully in the past) ??
Also in carrying out these mods it would be nice to know – why fit a sensor in the first place, and exactly how when bypassing this sensor does the unit then function correctly 😕

This sounds very much like a problem I have with a bosch KGV3104GB/03 which I think is almost Identical. I to have changed the module (P/no 265109 in this case) The problem still exists. The module is live up to point that triac should switch compressor. I thought it was a module problem initially because fast freeze switch did not switch compressor either and I thought this switch overrode the thermisters. My thinking now is that the thermisters are at fault but have no idea what temperature/ resistance readings should be. Looking at where thermister wiring disappears into cabinet they appear to be moulded into foam. Are these replacable? or is there a mod kit?
The thermisters in this case are 4 wires down to three at the pcb connection ie one is common to both thermisters. Two crimped together behind inner cover.
I will be interested in outcome and info on this one.

im pretty sure you can perform the standard mod on the 3 wires running to the temp sensors…
1 of these sensors fails, cant remember what 1 , but all you do is use the other one to run app…if you pm me with your email i will send you a dia to explain modf/b

ParticipantTHANKS FOR REPLIES SO FAR, UNFORTUNATELY WE CANNOT GET BACK TO CUSTOMER SINCE FITTING PCB AS SHE STOPPED OUR CHEQUE AND REFUSED OUR NXT APPOINTMENT!! HOW DO YOU HELP THESE PEOPLE?? ( OUR NEW PCB STILL ON HER UNIT!!) THEREFORE WILL BE INTERESTED TO KNOW IF ‘JOHNOKENT’ HAS SUCCESS BY CARRYING THE WIRING MOD, WHICH AS I SAID IS NOT POSSIBLY ACCORDING TO BSH A/CARE ( GUY WITH FOREIGN ACCENT ?)
