We have a Bosch Integrated Fridge Freezer KIM30443 that has just stopped working, it is about five years old. The temperature lights inside are flashing and it tries to start up but then it clicks and stops about 10 secs later it tries again (each time the electricity monitor shoots up showing a draw and then back to normal level). We have changed the start relay as that had some burn on the board, but the fridge freezer does exactly the same thing as before with the new relay on. It has been emptied and defrosted and stood for a few days whilst the part arrived. We have done some multimeter testing of the following:

    Capacitor (4uF) – Capacitance of 4.1uF
Zero ohm reading across the two wires

    Compressor – Pin 1 – Pin 2 = 15.5 ohm
    Pin 1 – Pin 3 = 19.8 ohm
    Pin 2 – Pin 3 = 35.3 ohm

    Model – Bosch KIM30443GB/03 FD8506 000290 EN153

Are we looking at a new fridge freezer or is there something else to try? Appreciate any help as searching the internet has got us to this point and telephoning for help has only got us people trying to sell a new one. 😕

The compressor will be seized not a cheap or DIY job.

Re: Bosch Fridge Freezer Not Working

Thanks for the reply. I sort of hoped that because the compressor showed good readings across the pins that it was not dead. Looks like I’m on the hunt for a new fridge freezer then, think I’ll give a Bosch one a miss though.

    Thanks again.
