We have just moved and have inherited a Bosch built-in Fridge with freezer compartment (KIV3235) with the kitchen. The freezer door appears to be broken although it will shut if pushed. The bottom of the fridge does not seem cold enough, in fact we have had some food going off very quickly.
Can anyone please advise on the following?:
    1) Any idea how old the fridge may be?
    2) Any solution to the ‘warm’ fridge?
    3) We don’t have a warranty, so idea of what a repair may cost and who could do it?

    Thanks

    🙁

The usual fault with the freezer compartment door is the handle breaks not allowing the door to stay closed. Does the fridge run all the time or does it have periods of rest? also the full ENR number would help.

    Hi Simon,

    The ENR no. is KIV3235GB/42.

The freezer door handle is partially broken, but does appear to seal shut when pushed.

The fridge runs very quietly, so I can’t tell if it has periods of rest.

It’s difficult to know whether to get someone in to look at it, or if it’s more realistic just to invest in a new model.

    Thanks

There is ice on whole rear wall of freezer compartment, but just condensation on the rear wall of the fridge area.

It could either be thermostat or system fault. Repairs@ for an engineer to confirm.
