bosch hbn 131550B/02 fan oven combo

hi guys , this oven is working but strangely when you turn the selector switch to the symbol with the top grill element and the fan it works fine until you adjust the thermostat from 0 up to 4 just when the stat opens (click) it turns off the fan and just the grill element is working , the main selector switch has a bit of a burn on the incoming neutral side from the main block connector and the neutral wire connector has lost about 10mm of its insulation at the spade connector onto the switch terminal , i cut back the wire remade a new spade connector but no change , everything else works ok ?? should a replacement switch fix this ? there is continuity between the two sides of the switch when it is operated at the suspect burn, thanks

So it has the grill element with the fan underneath it ? It sounds like circotherm grilling and if thats the case its working exactly as it should mate. If you leave it long enough , the grill element will shut off and the fan will kick in . It will continue to switch these 2 during its cooking cycle. It should be explained in the manual and its to allow grilling of items without the need to turn them over…..At least i think thats the gist of it!

lethal nomad , gotta get me one o those, customer cant find the manual but i believe ya , it has the grill element as normal and the fan with the oven element around it comes on with the grill and it also has what looks like a stat inside the cavity above the grill element
