Having problems with the grill on this oven. Customer complains that it’s not getting hot enough & doesn’t get red. Initially thought it was a control fault so fitted a new thermostat. Initially it worked fine, but called back, doing the same again. Have measured the current being drawn at 7 amps, voltage at 230v. Stat doesn’t cut the power to the heater at all, but it doesn’t go red at all. The current suggests that the element is about 1600w, anybody know what it should be or any other ideas on the fault. Coolinig fan is working correctly and no safety stat is being tripped. Thanks, Wiz :haier:

I seem to remember having a similar complaint on a bosh grill element, customer stated it didn’t glow like it used to.
I measured current into element then replaced the element, I have’nt been called back.

Update. Changed element, no change.Checked everything again and only got 145v at the heater. Turned out to be a duff selector switch. Wiz
