ParticipantIs there a special way to get the fan blades of after removing the holding nut and washer… This seems to be stuck fast to the shaft.
Does anyone have a service manual for this cooker please?

if its well and truly stuck then remove the fields from the motor and cut the shaft off, of course the motor will need replacing ! if after 10 mins of trying its not moving then its not coming off !

This is all to access the retaining screw for the element bracket… Does anyone have any shortcut tips for this, or a service manual?

One trick used to be to douse it in WD40 and leave it to soak for a few minutes.

wd40 works on some that is true. had a few that just would not budge no matter what though. im sure there is some release agent other than wd40 that would work , so if you find it let us know 🙂

Be careful as too much pulling can cause the motor shaft to bend and you end up with a very noisy fan !
I have a method and whilst it takes a little bit longer , it works everytime. It means taking the oven out of its housing but its so much cleaner than spraying loads of WD40 in the oven…which i hate to do.
1.Remove nut from shaft
2.Remove back panel , disconnect wires from motor fan and remove 3 motor fan screws.
3.Maneouvre fan blade until it is flush to rear wall of oven cavity
4.Place flat end of wooden hammer handle on end of fan shaft and bang the head end a couple of times fairly hard. This causes the mator shaft to ‘pop’ backwards and once the shaft end is flush with the blade hole , you can go to the back and a quick wiggle with pull the motor away leaving the fan blade to drop off .Its then a good idea to clean/abrade the motor shaft and the inside section of the fan blade hole to allow easy re-fitting.
It may seem a little bit too much work just to access the top screw behind the fan blade but it is cleaner and less likely to cause any further probs in the future.
