Bosch heater box – Sensor won’t fit

We are having trouble with replacing a bosch heater box for a dishwasher sgs6302gb/06.

Bosch have advised us the same part number twice; 264588.

The problem is that the sensor won’t fit – as you can see from the picture, the plastic is not ‘central’ and therefore won’t connect.

Has anyone come across this before? Is the only option to replace the sensor as well? (I’m reluctant to, as I’m assuming it won’t fit!).

An SGS6302GB/06 does NOT have a Turbidity sensor. Trying to fit one is a pointless excercise. The photo illustration you show is the blank end moulding on the heater box of that model. Besides there’s no connector plug for the electrics anyway! 😉

In that case the heater box you are replacing is NOT the original one and the Turbidity sensor fitted to it not used. As I mentioned earlier, there’s not even an electrical connection for it. Do check and you will see what I mean. 😀
