Participantbefore we try and sort out the bosch board and order a new one, in case emw wont be able to do anything with it, just interested if anyone knows which part of the d/w might have caused the components to blow?
sorry for lack of picture-phone has died a death, so had to artistically describe it.
also cos phones dead i currently cant locate the piece of paper i wrote down where each loom connected to whicjh track, so i cant even say at the moment which loom was connected to the track with the affected components 🙁

other bg info i know is that customer fitted new pump to it about 6 weeks ago, and its currently chokka with nasty water. filters were pretty clogged to.
but pump seems fine in that its not burned out so really just hoping that track isnt anything to do with anything expensive like a circ pump :s
As always many thanks in advance…[/img]

ParticipantWithout the correct ENR , its hard to check but IIRC , that would be the triac for the water point motor ( diverter motor to switch between top and bottom spray arms ) so it will also probably need a new Instantaneous water heater .
But as mentioned , would need the correct model number to confirm.

i will blame my hideous toothache as the reason why i somehow put the wrong model no down. its an sgv56a03gb/40
apologies!
and cheers so far – also phonecam is now fixed so heres the actual board and the damaged components, please note the tracks are a-ok i only ringed it to show which the triac was running off of.
now i just gotta get myself repaired 🙁

is it also quite common for the instanteous heaters’ alternating motors to fail then cos we replaced a 6 year old f/s bosch d/w about 6 months ago which one day just would not turn on – same symptom as this one. customer had already declined any repair but we did have a quick look into refurbing it for s/h, but the board had a similarly positioned triac blown out so we didnt waste any more time on it knowing how much the boards were… but this was prior to experiencing emw’s service 🙂

ParticipantThe bigger component is the real pointer. Yes , its definitely the diverter motor triac…..so in all probability the water point motor has gone and taken the board out with it.
New board ( or whatever you independant blokes do to get a board sorted ) and IWH required

cheers for that, assuming that’ll be the reason why the customers since told me it wasnt washing the top rack properly before it went
