Bosch integrated smv50c00gb not drying

Hi all,

I’ve had a look on t’interweb for my problem and it would seem that my heating element has packed up.

I have a 3 (ish?) year old integrated Bosch smv50c00gb dishwasher which has been great until yesterday.
We woke up to find we’d had a power cut. On further inspection the RCD had tripped. When we later tried to use the dishwasher, that wasn’t working. Checked everything and found the fuse had blown on the plug. Changed it and, wahey, all back up and running……or so I thought

Now it’s not drying, and if i open mid cycle the water isn’t hot. Yep, my powers of deduction lead me to believe it’s something to do with the heating element!!

My question is this……

Is it like to be anything else before I attempt to fix it myself?
Is it fairly easily fixable for a ‘handy’ DIYer?
I’m seeing £130 ish. Is that about right?

Ok, so that’s actually three questions, but I know you’re all up to it!!

Is it heating during the wash?

Then the problem you have will be with the Heat Pump

Ok. Is that easy enough to fix myself? I’m pretty good at that sort of thing normally and have done stuff like that before. This thing?
