Bosch Integrated Washer WFE2021GB/01 Programmer faulty?

Just been to have a look at a WFE2021GB/01 Integrated Bosch washer.
The timings on the programer do not change. It is stuck on 11 mins. I can cancel the programme by turning the dial to x. The end light comes on but the time stays on 11. Then after a few minutes left with the power on and the door opened it started to beep. The Main Wash light together with the Rinsing light started to flash, then the start light started flashing and 06 appeared in the display.
My first thought before the supposed error code came on was that the programmer (PCB) is faulty but maybe if somebody knows what the error code means it may shed some light on it for me.
I did have a quick search for error codes, nothing specific for this model but some other model codes say 06 is a pump fault but the pump is fine, even plugged another one in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated before I spend big money and buy the PCB.

Thanks for your help mate. Appreciate it. This makes sense now actually. I left the door open while I was looking into the top of the washer while I was pressing start, just to try and get some response from it. The customer actually said that this was the first time this had happened as well. I could get the door to lock in. So this fault code is probably a bit misleading. I still think it is the pcb. Has anybody had this fault before.

had 2 of these with duff motors, where low carbons have damaged armatures/coils. pcbs seem to be pretty solid…
