    hi
freezer works at correct temp but fridge is too warm. also motor seems to be on 90 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time.
I did do a manual defrost turned fridge off for a couple of days,6 months ago and the fridge worked fine for a week or so then back to the problem.
My brother had the same problem same fridge but he removed the cover and used a hairdyer to defrost coils?. His fridge has worked ok ever since.

From other research i have done it seems like the defrost timer is faulty.
from the information i have given does this seem likely?.
how easy is it to replace the timer?

any suggestions advice would be greatly appreciated

TBH , you should give BSH a call as there is a modification kit that is fitted to these appliances to prevent a return of the fault you’re describing .

Basically whats happened is the airways for the fan that blows the cold air into the fridge compartment are blocked with ice build-up , so no cold air will reach the fridge section. The mod kit allows a much better de-frost stage of the machines defrosting cycle thus stopping the problem of the ice build up.

By switching off and defrosting manually last time , you effectively cleared these airways and hence the fridge section got cold again.

If you want to help the engineer on his visit , switch the appliance off and unplug 48hrs prior to his call….making sure you have plenty of towels round the base of the FF to soak any defrost water

BSH Bosch call booking is 08448928979
