Is there a Configuration of pressing buttons that puts on the defrost heater with this model? Any help would be appreciated. Chris

Switch off from control panel . Hold down super freeze and switch on . Hold the super button down for approx 5 seconds until -16*c led flashes – you are now in the test programme . Pressing the temp select button will move through the different tests . Pressing the super freeze button starts the test .
    If i remember correctly…….

    -16 – sensors
    -18 – freezer fan
    -20 – defrost heater
    -22 – compressor
Switching off will terminate test programme .

If current draw for heater is around 0.75 amps then its normally ok . If its 0amps then possible open circuit heater but don’t forget there is a thermal fuse on the evaporator that is in series with the heater .

Thanks Paul. I had this one stripped out today and nearly died of fright. Poor young lady bought it in August 2007, had a visit out in April 2008 by an engineer from a Large electrical retailer who said it needed 4 things. PCB, Plate, Mod Kit for the drain hole and fan.
Came back to it and only fitted the fan.
Return visit shortly before Warranty expires and customer informed to just defrost.
3 years later she calls retailer on a chargeable job and the Engineer writes on the Job sheet that her FF needs the other 3 parts……mmmmmmm???? I, as I said stripped it out and there were no other parts fitted. Should they be the same parts as per KGN33?
