ParticipantHi I’ve had this Bosch Fridge Freezer for about 18 months, and have had 3 engineer visits for it. On all occasions it has been because of the fridge section not being cool enough, and as a result having to throw food out. The inital visit led to the fridge being taken apart and parts bing replaced. I’ve heard there were problems with this model can someone advise what the problem is, I’ve heard a circuit board of some sort or Thermostat is the issue. After the third visit where nothing was done, as the engineer said food must have been blocking the airflow, I’m not very confident this fridge freezer will last a long time and give trouble free service. As a result I wanted to ask some opinions of what I could do, should I ask Bosch to replace it altogether or go back to the store etc, and what do I need to ask them to confirm the issue mentioned above has been resolved.

Participantthere should have been 3 parts fitted on this appliance to cure your fault
the parts generally cure the fault
i cant go into specifics, you need to find out which parts have been fitted
has it been bosch that have attenfed your appliance, or a 3rd party?

also as with all modern fridges they do not like lots of unfrozen foods being put in at once, unless fast freeze is selected an hour before hand, this lowers the temperature so that when unfrozen food is put in it doesnt start thawing out the frozen food, same applies to fridge and make sure all rice is at room temp and covered.

Yes a Bosch engineer came on all three visits.

To be honest we haven’t had a problem with the freezer at all, it’s always been the fridge which on all three occasions has not been cold enough. On the last ocassion about 3 weeks ago, the fridge section didn’t seem cool enough and I couldn’t feel the back vent spewing out any air at all. As soon as I changed the dial to 3 rather than 2.5 as the engineer had set it on the second visit, it seemed to start giving out cooler air.
