    Hello

I have an 8 year old Bosch KGU2901 fridge/freezer which is exhibiting cooling problems.

    – The fridge compartment has an electronic display and is currently on +14c (I have set it to +6c) and I have put a thermometer in the freezer which is showing -12c.
    – About a month ago, I defrosted the whole fridge/freezer for 48 hours, and the problem seem to go away for a few weeks but it has got worse.
    – I have recelently accessed the evaporator and used a hair dryer on it as there was some ice build up on the top, but its still not working as normal.
    – The compressor seems to be working normally and I still hear noises like as if the fride compartment is auto-defrosting.
    – The fan in the freezer is working as normal.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be before I call an engineer?

Most likely a system fault IMHO. This is not a DIY job as it involves breaking the refrigerant system.
Best call in some pro help from the repairs@ link on the left menu 😀
