Sorry for the repeat post, I am finding it so difficult to use this forum! (Could not modify original post now that I have additional information).
Model number is KGU30605 GB
Intermittently, the temperature lights flash in time with a clunking noise like a motor trying to start but failing. If you open the freezer door the flashing and clunking stops but resumes if you close it again. If you hold it open for about 15 seconds then close, the clunking and flashing does not resume until sometime later (could be hours). Frost was starting to build on food in top of freezer (but not freezer itself) and water was gathering underneath hydrator trays in fridge.
Feels almost identical to problem in ChrisX post post456464.html#p456447
I originally added the info on that thread but unsure that’s correct, so putting it as new topic with link.
I have done a full defrost (three days) and got no more than a couple of teaspoons of water out. When I restarted after that I first had fridge cooling but not freezer then vice versa. By repeatedly turning on and off, pressing buttons, and opening and shutting the freezer door I now have cooling (temperatures seem ok, monitoring with thermometers) but the intermittent flashing and clunking has resumed. No water at bottom of fridge (yet..), no ice in back panel of freezer, but a very slight layer on ‘ceiling’ of freezer.
Can anyone help me with this please?

Have found and deleted your original thread. It takes a while to find your way around sites these days as there are so many different designs.
