    hi all,

I have someone who is willing to give us their Bosch F/F KGU 3201 HOWEVER, there is a fault with it. Cosmetically it is perfect.

It works fine during winter, but during summer the motor heats up and it has to be turned of for a little while and then turned on again. Apparently then it runs fine for a while.

The person thinks it is the compressor. IF it is the compressor is this something that could be changed by a person who does have electrical/electronic background ? And if yes, what is the cost for a new compressor ball park figure please.

OBVIOUSLY, we don’t want to transport this thing home to end up not working properly and have to be scrapped or found another free home.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for any and all forthcoming help 🙂

It does sound like the compressor to be honest but only an engineer’s visit would verify for sure, this would also be the case for replacement as specialist equipment is required to replace one which includes a system refrigerant re-charge etc.

    Dave.
