    Hi all,

I’ve one of the above, about seven years old, and the freezer temp is consistently dropping to -4 to -2, so ice placed in the compartment doesn’t freeze. The fridge sometimes reports temps of +13, but always seems to be cold. It cycles to operating temp every once in a while but is unpredictable. Compressor sometimes makes a loudish “sping” noise when it’s switched off/on again, but then comes in sounding normal after a couple of minutes.

I’ve tried a couple of times switching off for a couple of days to totally defrost, but makes no difference.

I’ve seen on other threads here that a simple shorting of one of the temperature sensors may sort this problem out. However, access to the board is not with screws on this model, but clips which I believe may break if I try and take the facia off.

So, does anyone have any advice on how to access the board, or if you think it would be worth it. Or, is there a friendly engineer around Leicester reading this who could come and help me out?

    Cheers,

    Johnnie
