It just goes to show what a superb resource UKW is 😀

Engineer in customer’s house with one of these, given instructions over the phone on bypassing the thermistor, 1st time fix so I’m happy, the customer is even happier as he gets his fridge/freezer working with little or no problems

Been to one december done the mod confirmed ok. Now there is a 2 inch iceblock on the rear panel. Cust said at the time that if she leaves items too close to rear freezing occurs. done this for a long time. If control turned to 1 freezer doesnt run in range. So fridge has 2 faults :rolls: . Would PCB cure this?

Is the ice covering the back wall in a full rectangle of same thickness? If not could be internal leak of refrigerant.
Best way to check is to completely defrost then switch back on for 15 mins, then press back wall of fridge section looking for any spongyness, any sign of movement of plastic back wall indicated a leak in the internal pipework, a fairly common fault with these second only to the sensor fault.

Looks rectangular. will advise cust to defrost. control when turned down will stop compressor. appears to not be defrosting for long enough. So if ok do you think the non replacable sensor will be at fault?

    Regards
