Bosch KGV Fridge Freezer Flashing Error Code E2

Hi,

I have a Bosch KGV Fridge Freezer with a Flashing Error Code E2 on the Fridge temperature display (Freezer is ok). When the error first came up the Fridge was still running cold but now its not. Any ideas ?

Jon, can you please post the full model numer, it will be on the rating plate inside the fridge somewhere.

The plate is not easy to read but I think its a KKV2901 GB01

Nope, that’s not it I’m afraid.

Either with the KGV or KKV prefix.

Yep you’re right. It must be a KKU2901 then (rather than KKV), KKU is a recognised pre-fix, as well as KGU. Do you have anything on this model ?

I’ve only a diagram and parts list for this model, which is correct BTW.

Hopefully someone may know what that error points to.

Hopefully someone may know what that error points to

E2 indicates failure or out of tolerence evaporator sensor which is foamed in and not replacable.
The only repair posibility is replacement of the electronic control board which now ignors input from the sensor. Repair costs in region of £146.00 inc vat. contact engineer in your area by using the ‘DIRECTORIES’ over on the left.

So the control board is also not repairable then, i.e. can’t disconnect the sensor link ? It has to be replaced ?

I’ve got the same problem E2 on the fridge of KK29U01GB (Siemens) – did anyone track this down. The fridge has now stopped working all together but freezer appears ok. Does it require a new board at c £150?

See my post as above, same applies to Siemens and bosch fridge/freezers.
Electronic control board needs replacement 😥 check repairs@ on home page of this site for an independent engineer in your area

PCB for Bosch – KKU2901GB/01 and Siemens KK29U01GB is 263782 @ £96.00 GBP
