Hi,
I’ve read other topics on this excellent site which mention a mod (part no 491415) which sounds like a connector to short out 2 wires. However the description of the position and colours of the wires seems to differ from what I can see on my appliance. To the right of the PCB there is a 4 wire connector which has light blue, dark blue, dark brown and light brown insulation. On another post it mentions positon 1 and 3 to be dark blue and dark brown, however on my KGV3120 it’s light blue and dark brown in these positions. The Light blue and Dark brown seem to go together, is it safe to assume that these are the ones to short out?
Thanks
Hi
That r/h connector runs top to bottom 1-4 ok?
You then need take out the connector and cut the wires no. 1 (blue) and no. 3 (brown), join together the two cut wires with a connection terminal.
Insulate the other ends that are now left which go to NTC.
Plug connector back in and job done 😀 Un-plug appliance before attempting this :plug:
Greg, Thanks very much for the speedy confirmation, made the loop last night and things are running smoothly nearly 24 hrs later.
I knew that the process of unplugging the appliance and switching it back on would temporaily clear the problem, so I wanted to wait and check continued operation before reporting back.
As I said before, a truely excellent site, well done guys.
