Hi, i am having trouble with ice build up on the drip gutter at the back of the fridge. It starts on the left hand side and within 24 hours of being removed the ice blocks the drainage hole. The drainage hole has been cleaned and is not the cause. I have been told that the insulation could be breaking down between the freezer and the fridge. The appliance is 6 years old.

It is possible that that is the cause and, if it is, then a repair is not advised normally as it is not the most reliable of fixes, a 50/50 chance of success IME.

One of the BSH guys may know if there’s any real problem with this model though. 😉
