Hi. I have this Bosch fridge freezer that is not controlling the temperature. I have replaced the electronic module in the fridge compartment but that didnt solve the problem. I posted this problem on your fridge freezer forum had over 70 hits but no suggested solution. Where does this fridge get its temperature sensing from. The fridge will cool down if the controller is bypassed. I it possible to get a wiring diagram for this fridge. Desperate as it is a built in unit.

I have looked on the parts listing for this unit but it does not seem to list a sensor

    http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-se … pare-parts

what your looking for is a thermistor which is an electronic temperature sensor which will connect to the board. unfortunately a lot of units attach the thermistor to the evaporator and then cover the unit in foam insulation assuming it will never fail. to effect a repair an engineer has to dig a hole in the insulation taking care not to damage the pipes, install a new thermistor and then add foam to seal it

this can only be done if a suitable spare is available. hopefully some other member who has more fridge knowledge may see this and help. in the meantime you could ring their spares supplier to see if a repair kit exists

    Hi Dave.
Thanks for your help. Its seems a funny problem with the fridge freezer as the electronic control panel that has been replaced is flashing on the 4 deg setting indicating that the temperature is above 4 deg but it is not turning on the compressor. I put a recorder into the fridge and the other strange thing happening is that it starts up every 24 houres exactly (10.45am) and cools down to 4 deg’s and the light above the 4 deg led set stays on solid indicating the temperature has been reached. I was hoping some engineer would have come across this problem and could share his knowledge. I have tried contacting Bosch customes services and they have been as usefull as an ashtray on a motor bike.

some electronic boards need configuring for the appliance they are installed in and the way yours is reacting is a bit like a default condition

I have no access to Bosch tech and unfortunately few people have. Was there any paperwork in the module to suggest it needed configuring ?

Hi Dave. No there was no paperwork with the electronic module. On the module there is a small plug with 3 brown and a blue wire going into the insulation of the fridge. if I plug this connector out the led indicators on the display goes out. I have just retrieved a recorder left in the freezer unit and the temperature drops dowm to -23 deg every 24 houres exactly. It takes 3 houres to go from +5 to -23 in the freezer. I feel there is a simple answer to this problem but it may be as you say beyond repair.
