My Bosch KIN85NSF0G/01 (FD Number: 0206) has been making a loud deep bass sound for around 3-5 seconds. This happens every 3-6 hours(?). Most times I’m in the room to hear it there is a single click sound and then the sound starts. It’s loud enough to hear throughout all of my flat as the sound is so ‘bassy’.

The fridge-freezer can be silent at times and then quite noisy when running ‘normally’. On the odd occasion when running ‘normally’ (but not silent) the fridge will also make the deep bass sound (mentioned above) but this is rarer than the intermittent burst of noise. I’ve never left it to see when it stops as it gets too annoying and have found if I cycle through the temperate settings it stops the sound for the time being.

My guess is that the deep sound I am hearing is possibly defrost related as it’s intermittent (almost always) and I usually hear a click before hand. Could it possibly be the condenser? I have no idea.

Here’s a link to an example of the clicking sound followed by the deep bass sound

And as this sounds very quiet here’s a boosted volume version (with extra bass *purely as the first video doesn’t do the actual sound justice)

I’ve had the fridge looked at by a Bosch engineer who could see no fault, other than it running a little loud but this is the case with newer fridges, apparently. The problem being I couldn’t force the real issue (deep bass sound) to happen whilst he was there (also did not have this recording!) and with it being a built in fridge it’s not possible to quickly inspect. There is still a year left on the warranty but I’m worried these sounds are the sign of an issue and there could be a bigger fault outside of the warranty.

Apologies for the novel, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
