Bosch KIS34A20IE/01 fridge/freezer – Fridge is freezing food

There is an E1 flashing on the display and the food is freezing in the fridge.
The freezer is also frosting up a lot. When I press the ‘cooler button it shows that the fridge is 4 degrees. When I press the ‘freezer’ button it shows the freezer is -18 degrees. However when I press the alarm button which shows the freezer’s warmest part it shows 4 degrees – which can’t be right.
There is nothing in the bosch manual that says anything about E1 message.
This is a new fridge – only 3 months old.

E1 is a fridge sensor problem.
You will need to get a BSH engineer to sort for you as its still under guarantee.
