Hiya All, I have a major problem with my Bosch fridge freezer Model number KKU3301GB/05, it has stopped working properly, freezing the fridge unit and thawing the freezer. The engineer came out and said he did not have the parts to reapir it, he sent another engineer who then said that there was a blockage internally in the system and it could not be repaired !! insulation breking on the back wall is also stated on the engineers report. I was slightly dubious with this because the second engineer only spent 10 mins to come to this conclusion. What kind of a blockage is not repairable in a modern fridge freezer ??? ALSO WHAT IS INSULLATION BREKING ?? or could this be a spelling error to mean insullation breaking ??

Any light on this would be fantastic

    Thanks

by insulation breaking, the engineer probably meant that the plastic lined rear wall of the fridge was coming away from the evaporator, this alone would render the appliance irreparable.
the evaporator is the unit behind the rear wall that freezes up.

Freezing in fridge is usually a sticking diverter valve.

To repair would involve breaking into the system. Not the cheapest repair in the world I’m afraid 😥
