ParticipantBosch SGS66A02GB/20 dishwasher will not run the main pump or heat the water.
Have checked heating element on Bosch and found to be ok, but all the pipes pretty clogged up and have cleaned them out including the water softener LHS cassette and float bowel components.Micro switches buzzed out ok on LHS but when put into any program like pre-rinse the water starts to fill up then the main water pump starts to rotate the arm for aprox 4 seconds then just the drain pump runs for the rest of the program.
All programs set will run to the end of the cycle and finish with zero on the LED.
Main control board PCB tracks not burnt and main triac on board checked ok.
Could this point to the pressure switch on the heater as a microswitch can be heard clicking on & off a few times.Anybody with ideas on where to start hunting for the problem.

Just a thought….are you sure you reconnected the wiring to the microswitch on the pressure diaphragm the correct way round? Other than that i wonder if you still have a partial blockage somewhere….

Hi clivejameson
Will check on the microswitch but I think it should be ok as the natural position of the wiring puts it in the relaxed position.
This bosch has all three contacts used from microswitch and the wires would not twist around to get it wrong.Still scratching head and hope that the AKO 546 464 control board is ok?

No way! Just have a closer look at the red float in the pressure chamber as the m/c fills. From what I reading of this the machine fills and as the circulating pump fires up then the drain pump is energised? In which case I would agree with Clive in that there still must be a blockage in the water inlet side causing that float to dance about. If its chamber is scaled up that will also give the same effect. 😉
HTH? 😀

Thanks Martin
After some further stripping down of the pipes the main pump now comes on and the heater shows 2.4KW and heating up to the 70* centigrade.
One further question, If the Eco 50* Centigrade is used it comes up with a reading of 142 minutes to complete? This time seems rather long to me, does this mean the sensor is covered in muck that measures the turbitity of the water being pumped around Martin.
If it is the snesor, what is the best way to get at it.

Run the machine a number of times on the hottest cycle going.
Eventually you should find the minutes will become more realistic.
The machine has extended the cycle times due to the problems you have now sorted.

Participanttbh , 142 minutes ( 2hr 22 mins ) is probably about right for an ECO programm on one of these. Just remind the customer that the time is only an estimate and can vary greatly as the wash progresses .
