ParticipantHi
I have a Bosch Logixx 1400 s Express washing machine that is only about 18 months old. After the wash cycle, the softener is still in its resevoir in the top drawer (eg hasn’t been washed into machine during the cycle). I have checked at the time it adds it, and although water runs through the two outer chambers it does NOT run into the centre (softener) chamber during ‘softener’ phase. Before I dive in and look, are there any well known problems in this area please? Thanks Pat

You could try a bottle-brush on the holes in the top of the soap-box. The little holes on the inside, where the water should come out.
Especially if your in a soft water area 🙂

Thanks for the reply, I’ve already done that (it was a bit horrible in there, black guey stuff rather than limescale (we are not in a limescale area), however it doesn’t appear to have cured it. Wondering if I need to remove the whole dispenser box and give it a more thorough clean?
Thanks Pat

There should be a finger-tip shaped dent, in the middle, toward the back of the drawer.
Push this down and pull the drawer to remove it 😀

My fault, I wasn’t specific enough. I can remove the dispenser drawer OK. What I’m actaully considering is removing the control panel to allow access to remove the internal white moulding with the water feed holes in it. Then give it a thorough check and clean with it off the machine.
Thanks Pat

Thanks Goatboy and Simon, you were right (of course), I used a narrow plastic tie wrap, followed by a jet of compressed air (from a can) to clear the Yukkie snot from the water feed holes and Whallaha, everthing is back to normal.
Thanks again
Pat
