ParticipantHad an engineer out on Monday just gone, he had to replace the three (?)dampers, because I complained of a knocking noise. In doing this, he had to completely remove the front of the machine. I have no idea if this is relevant or not, but I feel I should mention it.
Today I put three big towels in, set it away on a Cotton Stains program, with 60c and Aqua Plus selected. I come back, to see the machine doing a rinse (possibly a wash, but I could see no suds) with 0:01 showing as the remaining time and the drum turning as expected.
I unpacked my shopping, then I noticed the washer stopped completely. The Start/Pause button light wash flashing, and – – – was showing on the display – no F code, or anything.
I turned the program selector to another spin, with which the remaining time for that program showed as 0:13, as usual. I pressed Start – nothing…tried again…nothing. I turned the machine off, and put it back to spin and it started first time.
I’m worried about what the – – – error could be – could the engineer have forgotten to connect something? Perhaps the machine isn’t upto the load of three large towels, with it being nearly three years old? Maybe the cold in the kitchen has upset it? Help, lol!
The exact model of the machine, is:- WAS32466GB/10

ParticipantDone a 90c cottons wash, no extra options selected, with a good handful of soda crystals to be on the safe side.
Now going to repeat the same load, and see what happens! 😯

ParticipantThanks Penugin45!
I’m 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure it wasn’t out of balance, after repeating the same load with a different set of towels – in fact, I’m certain it could well have been a sudslock, going by the amount of suds I saw towards the end of the wash!
I didn’t realise how well that Ariel Excel gel foamed up, lol. 😯
I’m certain it wasn’t out of balance, because I’ve done the same load dozens of times before, but am relatively new to Ariel’s gel.

I think that is your answer.Modern, fully electronic machines, prefer a reset before selecting a different program – or else they protest.
If you do have to select a different program, it is wise to turn the selector to ‘OFF’ and leave it there for a couple of seconds. Only then should you try to select your desired program.
