I went to a fairly new Bosch WM – Logixx 8, ENr. WAS28461GB/07. Customer said it would not do final spin. I removed the filter plug and retrieved several small nails and a collar stiffener. Ran the machine empty. It filled correctly, washed, and pumped out in the proper time. But on the spin it kept ramping up to start spinning, then dropping back again, on and on until the end of the spin cycle. This on all pgms. It is too young to need brushes and the motor commo looks good anyway.

Has it had an OOB incident and needs the error clearing? If so, what is the reset procedure? Also is there a test program I can run? There are no error codes showing up on the display, which seems weird.
I have done Bosch for many years, but it seems this newer WAS series may be a pain in the ass….

As far as I am aware it has a brushless induction motor AND may well be still under the 2 year guarantee anyway.

Update – Removed brushless motor – all meggered out ok. Did PCB reset a number of times. Fill to level and pumpout all ok. This all pointed to the PCB having failed. At this point I suggested they go to Bosch and quote the Consumer Protection Act and demand free repair or replacement. I have put a number of other customers down this route with success, with Bosch, Zanussi and Hotpoint. I will get an update form them soon.
