Bosch Logixx Detergent Dispenser Problem

Hi,
Bosch Dishwasher Logixx – E number: SGS0902GB/05

The detergent drawer stays shut thus not releasing the tablet after it has completed it’s wash cycle.

To get around this, I am simply placing the tablet in the cutlery basket.

I see that a new dispenser from e spares is £43 but was just wondering before I purchased one, is it easy to fit (anyone know how?)
also, will this solve the problem or could it be something else.

They’re a mite cheaper HERE.

Fitting involves removing the door outer panel and levering up some razor-sharp locking tabs to release the dispenser, bending them back down and snapping the new one into place.

Power off and sticking plasters to hand.

Hi,
Many thanks however, do you think this would solve the problem of the drawer not opening or could it be an electronic problem on some controller board etc?

Don’t want to slice my fingers off unnecessarily if it could be something else such as some microchip not working properly that controls the dispenser opening function.

Usual cause is broken spring, distorted lid, broken lid peg, possible failed actuator. Never had a board fault for dispenser yet.
