ParticipantToday I attended the above dishwasher, which has a strange fault. Customer says that machine runs and seems to wash ok. This dishwasher has a count down display on it which works fine until the last minute is displayed. It stays at 1 minute remaining forever and she says that the hot burst of steam at the end of the program has stopped. My first thoughts were a no heat problem as most module control dishwashers will run through their cycle these days with a no heat fault, so I checked module for dry joints. Module appears fine all over. Heater is also working ok as I sat and watched it for 30 mins. It doesn’t seem to take much water, but not too sure how much it should with energy efficiency.
My thought is heading towards the PCB (part # 488204) but at £102.75 rrp I’m a tad worried about ordering it incase I get it wrong. Any ideas guys? I warned this lady that I might have to send her to Bosch direct, but nobody wants to do that do they…
Thanks.February 26, 2006 at 6:44 pm #166520Beever
Participantremove the front panel at the bottom and remove the pipe from the sump to the float switch, this will be blocked up, causing the appliance to not fill with enough water to allow the heater to come on. Usually this pipe once clear will clear the fault, if the blockage has backed up to the float switch, replace it part no:- 482937
This will sort out the problem!

No need to replace pressure chamber. In most cases it too can be removed and cleaned.
Gotta think about that bonus.

Sure does, but where did p/no 482937 which does get replaced by 498054, come from; as 480748 was original part for this appliance and as you said correctly gets replaced by 497570 ?
We got there in the end.Greg
