    Hi all,

I noticed the washed dishes are not spotless anymore. So I cleaned the filter and run the empty machine on Standard Plus program with ‘Finish’ dishwasher cleaning capsule inside. When the cycle ended (which took rather long time) I noticed the capsule’s wax did not dissolve and the entire content remained inside it. I run the program again and checked the machine mid cycle. I found the water was cold.
Then I run the empty machine with the cleaner on Auto Wash. In mid cycle the water was warm and even a bit of steam was noticed. However the capsule’s content was not taken as the temperature was still low to dissolve the wax plug in the lid.

What do I need to check before I ask a man to fix it. I am quite capable to check anything electrical and swap parts as long as I know what to do. Please, help.

Any number of possibilities on this one…….

Water not circulating fully through both spray arms?
Not heating due to faulty heater?
Dry joint on main power board?
Gunge blockage in water inlet matrix?
    …and so on.

If you live in a hard water area you must always use salt. Failure to do so can result in such a fault developing prematurely.

Hi, thank you for your response.

The water is not exactly cold but some time cold and/or not warmed enough. Therefore the heating element is not completely gone. Actually I trust if it fails it would not generate any heat?

I’ve been having the dishwasher for about 6 years during which it was well used. We live in hard water area but I have water softener so this problem shall go away. We topped salt when needed. Where shall I start with fault finding?

Start with the first of my earlier questions and go from there………..

Re: Bosch Logixx SGS09L12GB/14 Water temperature is low

    Hi,
Main power board looks fine no burns or any problems. Water seems to be circulating freely. The heater heats the water but not enough (seems to me). The resistance of the heater is about 25 Ohms which is what I would expect.

I am not sure how to check water inlet matrix.

I found the NTC sensor (part no 165281) is at room temperature value at 100k Ohms. Could this be the source of the trouble? I read the expected value is about 55k. The water to the dishwasher seems to me not worm enough may cause some havoc in the control process???
The temperature limit switch is closed.

I also checked the switch on the heater for its operation and seems to me fine.

    Thanks for any response.

Inspect and clean. Any blockage or restriction will cause a filling problem, not enough water and won’t heat.

Rarely any faults involve the thermistors/stats by the way.
