Hi, my dishwasher gets stuck on the final drain cycle – the pump keeps running, though the water has drained fully.

This is an intermittent error – about 1 in 3 cycles it will drain and switch off as normal, for the other 2 it will drain and then indicate 1 minute left on the cycle, then continue to run the pump.

Wash seems OK, and the cycle of filling, dispensing detergent, heating, washing etc. seems fine. All intermediate drain cycles also work.

The problem may be related to improper filter fitting previously – I had to clean food debris out of the filters, arms and in the drain compartment. A month later, this issue has occured.

    Any help, please?

Worth removing the right hand side panel and seeing if water has leaked into the base – there is a float operated flood protection system.

Thanks Penguin45 – shall take a look later this week -it requires shifting of three appliances to get in there!

An update – the float system was full of muck and probably not operating correctly. I stripped it (it was on the left side, by the way) and cleaned. Now have run 2 complete cycles and it seems to be fixed.

I shall also be running a dishwasher cleaner through more regularly to try and prevent the build-up. Last did so over a year ago.

    Thanks for your input, Penguin45.
